Instituto Diálogos and the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) have signed an agreement to develop actions, projects, studies, events and other cooperation initiatives, in order to broaden the discussion, formulation and circulation of public policy proposals that contribute to Brazil’s development and international integration. The agreement was signed at CEBRI’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday (October 22).
“Our partnership with a historic and representative institution such as CEBRI is very important to expand the Institute’s planning and its commitment to joining the efforts of the broadest sectors of society, whether private, academic or public, that contribute to a fairer and more democratic country, developed sustainably,” says Fernando Camargo, President of the Executive Board of Instituto Diálogos.
CEBRI was conceived in 1998 at the initiative of former foreign ministers, ambassadors, leading Brazilian business people, sector leaders, academics and intellectuals to study Brazil’s international relations. Julia Dias Leite is the Center’s current CEO.
With CEBRI, Diálogos will join efforts and knowledge to bring together experts, leaders, researchers, public and private managers, civil society organizations and national and international institutions that contribute to improving new public policies, institutions, governance practices and decision-making processes.
Areas and topics of cooperation will include economic development, productivity, competitiveness, innovation, agriculture and livestock, food security, the bioeconomy, sustainability, climate change, natural resources and the transition to a low-carbon economy, among others, with the aim of expanding social inclusion and promoting the reduction of inequalities, regional development and better living conditions.
